Measuring the shape of bone.
I am an orthopedic and hand surgeon based in Tokyo with specialized expertise in 3D shape analysis of musculoskeletal anatomy. I offer research collaboration and computational anatomy consulting to researchers and institutions worldwide.

About
I practice orthopedic and hand surgery in Tokyo, Japan, while pursuing an active research program in computational anatomy. My work sits at the intersection of clinical practice and quantitative shape analysis — an intersection that remains rare in the global research community.
My current research focuses on three-dimensional morphological variation of the hand and wrist skeleton, using geometric morphometric and statistical shape modeling approaches to address questions that conventional measurement cannot resolve.
In Japan, I also provide medico-legal assessments of upper-limb injuries, including expert opinions and imaging review.
I welcome collaborations with researchers, clinicians, and industry partners who bring interesting anatomical questions and imaging data.
Consulting services are provided in an independent personal capacity and do not represent the views or activities of any affiliated institution.
